Clarkson University’s entrepreneurship program has been ranked as one of the best programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in their latest rankings. The program, which is part of the David D. Reh School of Business, was placed among the top 40 across the United States and in 36th place, tied with Syracuse University and Bentley University.

This exciting news comes as Clarkson University continues to prioritize student-centered entrepreneurship education. The program offers students the opportunity to take their passion or idea and turn it into a reality.

Clarkson is one of the few universities in the country that provides a platform for students in their first semester of college to craft plans for a business venture. They then have the opportunity to pitch their idea to venture fund managers and request startup capital to begin their business as soon as their second semester.

The success of this program can be seen through the many graduates who have gone on to start their own companies or continue pursuing the ones they started while in college.

Professor Marc Compeau, Co-Director of the Reh Center of Entrepreneurship, is thrilled to see their approach recognized: “It is exciting to be recognized for our student-centered entrepreneurship education program. The outcomes of our approach are rewarding; so many of our Reh School of Business alumni are leading innovative firms around the world that are making a significant impact.”

Dean of the Reh School of Business, Dr. Diego Nocetti, attributes the success of the program to the relevancy of their curriculum and their focus on experiential learning. They are committed to developing entrepreneurial leaders who combine business acumen, analytical thinking, technical expertise, and a global perspective to benefit business and society.

Professor Christian Felzensztein, who holds the Reh Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership and is Co-Director of the Reh Center of Entrepreneurship, highlights the importance of the global perspective emphasized by the program: “Last year we started the Reh Entrepreneurship Speakers Series, featuring experts from top-ranked universities across the world.

They helped our students get a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and technological issues affecting new global business trends today –and eventually manage their own tech start-ups in a highly globalized economy.

Additionally, we also conduct impactful research globally in the intersection of entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability for helping communities and new entrepreneurs succeed in these new challenging times of the global economy.”

Clarkson University’s entrepreneurship program is a testament to its commitment to providing students with the skills and resources necessary to succeed in the ever-changing business world. With a focus on experiential learning and a global perspective, their program has earned its place among the best in the nation. Congratulations to Clarkson University on this impressive achievement!
